Here are the basic jewelry pliers that you will need when making jewelry. However, if you are planning to sell your jewelry I would suggest to make the investment of buying quality pliers that will last you a lifetime. I've had mine Lindstrom pliers around 10 years - I think this is the best brand.
Chain Nose Pliers: used opening and closing jumprings, bending wire or as that extra set of fingers.
Round nose pliers: ideal for making loops, circles, and coils from wire. Short "nose" will better allow you to make small, neat loops while maintaining good control of your work.
Flat Nose Pliers:These pliers are “flat” throughout. I use them for leather crimps and are also designed for making angular bends.
Flush Cutter PliersHigh quality flush cutting, extremely precise and accurate plier. The cutting edges are even, leaving little or no 'pinch' on the wire being cut. My Favorite!
Memory Wire Cutters: essential when you are working with memory wire as they are heavy-duty and specially designed for cutting strong wires.
Nylon Jaw Pliers: specially designed for shaping and wire. As it will not nick, mark or damage it.
In addition to these basic types, here there are all sorts of jewelry pliers, each made to do a specific job.
